Take time to visit the Tudor House Clock Museum, which has over 400 time pieces on display, in all shapes and sizes, ticking, chiming, donging and the occasional cuckoo. The clocks are not just for avid collectors, there are many antique and many novelty clocks to interest all the family.
There is a 1858 illuminated alarm clock, which strikes a match lighting a lamp with the alarm setting, a 1880 French clock with a figure on the top and with each quarter hour strikes a bracket of Westminster chimes across the rack of four bells. Owls and dogs with revolving eyes that show the time, blinking eye clocks, a rare 1810 Austrian wood carved lion and cupid with eyes going left to right and a 1780 English grandfather clock.
