Each guest room features private en suites, QS beds, tea/coffee making facilites, ipod docking clock radios and reverse cycle air-con (for heating & cooling). The Deluxe rooms feature a small sofa, and the Lakeview Suite has a TV/DVD player.

Breakfast is included in the tariff and is served in the dining room, which overlooks the lake.

For everyone’s comfort, all rooms are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted outside.

Children under 7 are not catered for.

Check-in is from 2pm and check out is at 11am. Early check-ins or late check-outs are strictly by arrangement only and may incur fees.

How to get to Ambleside On The Lake
Daylesford is a short 80 min drive from the Melb CBD. If you are coming by public transport, if you tell us your travel details, we can arrange to pick you up at the local bus stop.

You can travel to Daylesford by the Western Highway or the Calder Highway. Distance is very similar either way.

The Westgate Freeway: Follow the signs for Ballarat and take the Sunshine/Deer Park exit. Proceed along the Western Highway and you will find the Daylesford turn off. There is only one turn off for Daylesford. Don't take the 1st Ballan turn off - drive another minute or so until you see the BALLAN/DAYLESFORD turn off. Travel toward Daylesford for approximately 30km to the BP Service Station. Turn sharp left here. Come over the lake and follow the road around the left again.

The Calder Freeway: Take the Woodend exit and travel through Woodend. Turn left at the Daylesford signpost situated at the far end of town. Travel approximately 30km to Daylesford. In Daylesford, turn left at the first roundabout (heading for Ballan/Melb). Travel 0.6km to the BP Service Station. Turn Right, come over the lake and follow the road around to the left.

From Melbourne Airport: The easiest way from the Airport is to follow the signs for Sunbury, then head for Woodend/Bendigo. Take the Woodend exit from the Calder F'way (don't head towards Mt Macedon!), then look for the Daylesford turnoff at the end of town. This trip should take around 60 minutes or so.

Out and About
Ambleside is situated on the quiet side of Lake Daylesford and is only an 800m walk to the main centre of Daylesford. We are walking distance to restaurants, day-spas, galleries and tourist attractions.

Instructions for after hours key collection
Guests are welcome to check in from 2pm, but we do need to know what time you will be arriving. Guests must make contact with us on (03)5348-2691 to confirm their arrival time with us 24hours prior to their visit. Where guests fail to contact us and do not advise an arrival time,then we cannot guarantee we will be available and a key will be left out in a nominated spot. If you are arriving after 10pm, call us and we will arrange for a key to be left out for you.
