As you approach along the driveway flanked by Merlot grape vines on one side and native trees on the other you?ll be pleasantly surprised when the cottage is revealed from behind the vines perched next to our ornamental lake.This beautifully-appointed stone cottage provides absolute privacy without the pressures or noise of the city. Relax in the corner spa, curl up in front of the wood fire in winter or laze around on the wide verandahs at other times of the year enjoying the scenery and stunning sunsets. The whoosh of the ducks landing on the water in the evening will break the quiet that is characteristic of this property.The two cottage bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, one with spa bath and one shower bathroom suitable for people with disabilities. The well appointed kitchen, including dishwasher, means you can hibernate away and cater for yourselves if you wish.Satellite television, video recorder, DVD player and CD stereo system are all provided for your convenience. Wireless access for your laptop at reception.The cottage has a ramped entry for easy access and other features to help make a holiday easier for people with mobility difficulties.The private apartment is also a surprise addition to the property providing guests with cosy accommodation including corner spa, wood fire, air conditioning, spacious deck on which to spend your afternoons or cook and eat a barbecue meal. You have exclusive use of the apartment which offers two bedrooms and well appointed kitchen including dishwasher and laundry. Satellite television, DVD player and video recorder with selection of tapes is included as is a CD stereo system. The apartment is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties. Nearby is horse riding, the delightful Delatite River for fishing, an hotel for an excellent country counter meal, and access to Mts Buller and Stirling, both well known for their winter snow skiing and off season, walking, bike riding, wild flowers and stunning views of the Great Divide. Clear Hills on Mt Stirling was the home of the last remaining film set from the Man From Snowy River Movies, Craigs Hut. After being burnt down in the January 07 bushfires extensive work has been carried out and the hut again looks stunning. We can organise four wheel drive tours for you between November and May.
