Award winning AAA 4 star, self contained cottages in gorgeous bushland setting. Choose from the three bedroom Castle or Villa, sleeping up to 8; or the two bedroom Igloo or Beach House, sleeping up to 6 and 5 respectively.

We are pet friendly, providing comfy beds and home made doggie treats on arrival.

Our two bedroom Igloo is purpose built for independant wheelchair accessability.

Adjoining the Otway Forest Park, we offer bushwalks from your door, open fires, private winter bonfires, recreation area, farm animals with animal feeding sessions for the children.

Pamper packages, including fluffy robes, gourmet treats, sparkling wine and in house massage are available.

Our Back to Nature packages include a wonderful dawn or dusk paddle on Lake Elizabeth in search of the elusive platypus.

We are surrounded by many great attractions - wineries, berry picking farms, cafes and restaurants - and are a mere 25 minutes delightful drive to Lorne through the Otway Ranges.

Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 72 hours notice is required by this property for cancellations.

Extra Guest / Children
Children are most welcome. We offer animal feeding sessions in the mornings, where your children can come and meet the chickens, sheep, alpacas and bunnies. Eggs are finders keepers. A portacot and high chair are available free of charge. Each child 2 and over are charged at $25 per night.


How to get to Countrywide Cottages
From Melbourne, take the A1 (Princes Highway) through Geelong to Winchelsea. At the far end of Winchelsea, turn left at the 'Lorne, Deans Marsh' turn off. We are 12 kilometres down this road on the left.

From Lorne, take the Deans Marsh turn off at the roundabout on the Geelong end of Lorne. Drive through Deans Marsh. We are three kilometres beyond the 'Bambra' sign on the right.

Out and About
We are surrounded by bushland, making bushwalking available on site and into the Great Otway National Park beyond. There are three wonderful cellar doors within 10 minutes of our gate, as well as some great cafe's, restaurants, and berry picking farms. Waterfalls, the Otway Fly Treetop Walk, the beaches of Lorne, horse riding, surfing and the like are all within easy driving distance. The 12 Apostles are approximately 2 hours drive.
Other Facilities:
Our recreation area houses a pool table, dart board etc as well as a gas BBQ for communal use. We also have a large dam in which yabbies can be found! Plan a picnic by the dam and take your catch back for dinner.
Car Parking:
There is ample car parking at the cottage and is free of charge.
