Sovereign Hill Historic Township and the spectacular evening Sound & Light Show "Blood on the Southern Cross" head an impressive list of other tourist attractions including many Wineries, Galleries, Pottery, Jewellery, craft and Antique outlets. There are four excellent golf courses plus many other sporting facilities.
The impressive Ballarat Wildlife Park, Ballarat Bird World and Eureka Centre also lead an extensive list. Outside the City there is good access to many wineries including the Pyrenees, Galleries at Daylesford & Hepburn Springs plus day trips to the Grampians, Bendigo, Maldon, Castlemaine, Mount Macedon and Melbourne.
One way to see a lot more and get the history of the area is to join one of the Go2000.com tours of Ballarat, the Grampians, Great Ocean Road, Victorian Gold towns or Shopping Tours etc. Enquire when booking.
