Point Lonsdale Guesthouse (previously Terminus House, circa 1884) is a peaceful retreat by the sea. The beautifully renovated complex offers guests the choice between the old world charm of the guesthouse and the more modern decor of the motel units which are decked out in the style of a ship’s cabin. Authentic maritime artifacts and memorabilia throughout capture the romance of seafaring days gone by. Rest assured there are no shared facilities with each of the 22 rooms having its own ensuite. The property provides ample off-street parking and boasts among its assets a solar-heated pool & spa, a tennis court with a synthetic surface, table tennis, a fully-stocked guest kitchen which opens onto a deck with outdoor furniture & BBQ’s, guest laundry, Lady Nelson Lounge, bar, conference room and courtyard. Wireless inernet access is available throughout the complex. Continental buffet and cooked breakfasts are served in the beautiful Westwood Room each morning between 8 &10 am. Fresh espresso coffee is available any time. On the main road in Point Lonsdale the Guesthouse is situated midway between the shops and the Lighthouse. The main swimming beach is opposite the shops while the Lighthouse is near the pier and presides over the infamous Rip which separates Port Phillip Bay from Bass Straight. Directly opposite the Guesthouse is the Rip View Lookout from where spectators can watch all manner of ships negotiating the treacherous waters.
