Out and About |
|
The area is known for it’s top fishing spots, swimming, bird watching, bush walking, photography or simply admiring the unspoilt spectacular scenery.
Wilson’s Promontory National Park (4mins drive to the gate) is a natural icon that draws travellers from all over the world. It is known for its beautiful rainforests, unspoiled beaches, and abundant wildlife. It boasts 130km of coastline framed by granite headlands, mountains, waterfalls, forests and fern gullies. The park contains the largest coastal wilderness area in Victoria.
If you like walking, hiking, beautiful beaches and squeaky white sand, then the Prom is the place to visit. Yanakie is an ideal spot to stay and relax both before and after visiting the ‘Prom’, a great base for the artist, photographer, fisherman or weary traveller.
