Whether you want to lie back and laze on the white sandy beaches, or get into some sports action, Augusta is the place to be. Abseiling, caving, bring a canoe and take advantage of the tranquil waters of the Blackwood River, or drop a line from a powered dinghy. Perhaps a spot of sailing on the river is more your style or a relaxing ferry cruise up the river. Then there's the thrill of kite-surfing. The tranquil Blackwood is perfect for beginners, while Flinders Bay will challenge the experts. Explore the dive trails of our coastline, including underwater caves, ledges, numerous wrecks and fascinating marine life like tasty crayfish.
Augusta is renowned for its fishing with bream, herring and whiting for the taking in the Blackwood River. Out in the bay, delicious Dhufish and snapper are often caught. Deep sea fishing and dive charters are available throughout the year with prior arrangement.
