Follow the coast three hours south of Perth, Western Australia and you will find one of Australia’s finest private boutique hotels, Cape Lodge. As you meander down the winding driveway of the intimate country estate you will discover why Cape Lodge has been voted in the Top 100 Hotels in the World.
Located on its own vineyard, Cape Lodge has just completed a multi million-dollar upgrade, tipping the scales of the luxury hotel experience. Voted in Conde Nast Traveller’s Gold List 2005 "World’s Best 100 Hotels" and number 4 in the World for Food, Cape Lodge is a member of the prestigious "Small Luxury Hotels of the World" . It’s neighbours include the great wineries of Vasse Felix, Moss Wood, Pierro and Cullen. The extraordinary beauty and diversity of the area is striking, from its majestic karri forests and pristine beaches to the rural mosaic of viticulture and dairy farming.
The newly completed $3 million enhancement program includes 10 new super luxury suites and a magnificent lakeside restaurant with executive meeting facilities. The hotel sits on 10 hectares of forest, parkland, gardens and lakes. The original homestead contains the lobby, a guest drawing room, gift shop, an executive boardroom and the new luxury 80 square metre Lodge Suite. The remaining accommodation has been designed for luxurious privacy and is a mixture of 20 rooms and suites spread throughout manicured expansive grounds within 5 detached wings encircling two lakes.
The magnificent new restaurant sits over the main lake and features a wide over water alfresco decking, sumptuous guest lounge and 2 executive boardrooms. One of the major features is a 14,000 bottle, temperature controlled cellar stocked with premium back vintage Margaret River wines.
