Prepare to be absolutely enchanted when you stay at Chestnut Brook Cottage, and enjoy quality accommodation at an affordable price. Situated on a small farmlet of just under 10 acres adjacent to the Balingup Brook and the Bibbulmun Track, the town of Balingup is only a short walk away. The feeling however is that of seclusion and peace. It is surrounded by a lovely cottage garden and is positioned on the acreage to enable the utmost privacy to guests whilst providing stunning views of the surrounding hills and town.

The Cottage is rated as RAC 4 stars and has TCWA Accreditation. It is fully self contained and has two bedrooms, an open plan living/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Nestled into a hillside, windows extending the full length of the living areas provide sweeping views. Sleeping up to six people, it is suitable for either a romantic getaway for two, or a comfortable holiday for a family.

Relax on the verandahs with a BBQ or a glass of wine, watch the birds and soak up the view. Have a casual lunch in your very own cottage garden, or just read a book in the shade of the trees. Enjoy the cosy wood fire on misty winter mornings and the cool air-conditioning in summer. Everything is provided for your comfort, and the cottage is spotlessly clean.


The standard tariff for 2 people is $165 per night with a two night minimum.

    How to get to Chestnut Brook Cottage
    A 3 hour (240 km) drive from Perth. Take the South Western Highway or the Old Coast Road to Bunbury and then the South Western Highway to Balingup. We provide a mud map for guests so you can find Brook Street easily once you are in Balingup. Further directions are also on our web site.

    Regular bus service to Balingup from Perth or Albany. Free guest pickup from bus stop.

    Out and About
    Balingup is fast becoming the chosen destination from which to explore other areas of the South West of Western Australia. A short drive will take you to most of the attractions in the
    South West of the state, including wineries, tall timber country and the coast.

    The village of Balingup has a magic all of its own. Surrounded by rolling hills and river valleys, there are numerous craft centres, potteries, specialty shops and cafes to visit. It is home to the Small Farm Field Day (April), the Medieval Carnivale (August), the Balingup Classic Concert under the stars (November), and many other events.

    In and around Balingup you will find wildflowers, birds, arts & crafts, beautiful gardens, historic buildings and sites, walking trails, cafes, wineries, scenic drives, horse riding, picnic spots, farmers markets and places to swim or paddle a canoe.

    The Blackwood River Valley and the area around Balingup is famous for its hills and scenic beauty. Balingup is also proud of its Golden Valley Tree Park with its unique collection of beautiful and interesting trees from all over the world.

    The world renowned Bibbulmun Track runs though the village, and there are many options for either short walks or longer treks.

    Take a leisurely drive from Balingup through beautiful country to visit many nearby towns. Busselton, Margaret River, Bridgetown, Nannup, Manjimup, Pemberton and Boyup Brook are all possible and interesting day trips.
