Empire Retreat      

Built around a 35 year old character farmhouse this secluded Retreat is nestled on 265 acres of tranquil bushland. Each suite enjoys a panoramic view over a gently undulating valley in Western Australia’s premium wine district, the Margaret River Wine Region.

Warm colours of local timbers, tumbled marble mosaics and sensuous bed linen grace the interiors. Natural bush around the suites provides both a peaceful and picturesque hideaway.

There is a distinct eastern flavour throughout the Retreat, from the simplistic chic, large teak beds, and courtyard water gardens through to the ancient monastery doors at the entrance. A beautiful day bed is nestled amongst the bush for those wishing to read or sip a glass of Empire Estate wine.

The main lounge area offers an inviting space for guests to enjoy fresh local produce, lounge by the fire or enjoy a friendly game of pool.

September 2000 saw the planting of 12 acres of vines. Guests can sample our fine wines in the tasting room located in the gallery area.
Empire Retreat is close to spectacular beaches, restaurants, galleries, vineyards and other attractions.

Empire Spa opened in December 2005. Meander across and indulge in one of the many treatments that are available.

For special occasions we can arrange for a chef to come in and prepare dinner. Picnic hampers are also available for a quiet lunch by the dam or within the grounds.
