McAlpine House was the residence of Lord Alistair McAlpine who built the Cable Beach Club and purchased many of Broome’s historic buildings such as the Sun Cinema Centre located in Chinatown about two kilometres away. Gantheaume Point is six kilometres from the house and is a beautiful spot to observe one of Broomes famous sunsets. Try a camel ride on Cable Beach or a hovercraft trip on Roebuck Bay.
