The Aboriginal word Yallingup translates into "Place of Love" and this romantic expression combined with the ultimate in country-chic, makes Seashells Caves House the perfect mid-week or weekend getaway.
Established in 1905, the present Caves House was rebuilt in 1938 and is a heritage-listed hotel, an idyllic country retreat and one of Australia’s favourite wedding & honeymoon hotspots for over 100 years. After careful and loving restoration work, Caves House has been re-launched to cater for yet another century of traditional hospitality coupled with the latest modern comforts and conveniences.
In addition to the glorious art-deco styling and elegant charm of Caves House, the building and extensive gardens are but a stone’s throw from the beach.
A wonderful dining experience at the restaurant is complemented by the new fully licensed ’Long Bar’, all of which overlook the spectacular 100 year old gardens. The bar at Caves House, which is much a local icon as the historic building itself, regularly features major sporting events and concerts on large plasma screens. Local specialities can be enjoyed in the restaurant whilst drinking crisp aromatic wines of considerable charm and concentration. Open for dinner 7 days and lunch Friday to Sunday.
